The Amazing Live Music of the 2024 Alive at 5 Summer Concert Series
May 31, 2024
Nothing says “Summer in Albany” like a free outdoor concert, and with summer just over the horizon, it’s a perfect time to start planning your after-work outings and head to an Alive at 5 Concert! The Alive at 5 Summer Concert Series has been a staple of summer fun in New York’s Capital City since 1990, bringing eight weeks of free, incredible live performances to Albany’s waterfront. Featuring everything from up-and-coming local acts to international icons, each week features a different genre, and this year’s lineup appeals to nearly every musical taste! From rock to reggae and plenty in between, you won’t want to miss any of these must-see free shows happening between June 6th – August 1st!
The waterfront is set to come alive at scenic Jennings Landing each week, located a quick 6-minute walk across the Hudson River Walkway connected to our Riverfront Garage and a 13-minute walk from our Quackenbush Garage (Or a 20-minute walk if you take the scenic route across the Albany Skyway). While an energetic concert in the sun is most ideal, sometimes mother nature interjects, and the show has to move to its rain location. The Corning Preserve Boat Launch is just a 12-minute walk from the Quackenbush Garage and a 13-minute walk from the Riverfront Garage via the Water Street bridge.
