A Snow Emergency has been declared in the City of Albany, NY and will be in effect begininng Friday Monring, December 18th, at 8:00am.

For City of Albany residents with a Zone C Residential Parking Permit, free parking will be available at the Quackenbush Garage located at 25 Orange St. (Behind 677 Broadway) during the City of Albany’s Snow Emergency.

Albany, NY - Please be advised the City of Albany has issued a SNOW EMERGENCY that will begin Friday Morning, December 18, at 8:00 a.m. At that time, all normal parking rules and regulations are temporarily suspended.

Advisory: Mayor Sheehan Declares State of Emergency 

Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan announced she has declared a State of Emergency in the City of Albany effective 6:00 AM. All City of Albany Buildings, including City Hall, will be closed to the public until at least 12:00 PM Thursday. A determination will be made prior to 12:00 PM Thursday on potential additional closures.

The City of Albany is continuing preparations for the anticipated winter storm expected to reach the Capital Region this evening (Wednesday, December 16).

Please be aware, beginning Friday evening, October 2nd at 6pm until Monday morning, October 5th at 8am that the Hudson Avenue entrance/exit of the Green-Hudson Garage will be closed due to roadwork and repaving being done to Hudson Avenue.

During this time, all parkers will need use the Green Street garage entrance/exit, which will be reopened to weekend traffic during the construction. Please be aware that road construction staff will be on site to direct traffic as needed.
