MONTHLY PARKING PROGRAM CUSTOMER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE:
- Your access card/AVI Sticker is valid during the standard garage hours of operation, including times when the garage is open for events. Riverfront and Quackenbush garages are open 24/7. Green-Hudson is accessible 24/7.
- The sale of this parking pass does not guarantee the holder an available parking space.
- No motorcycles are allowed in the garage.
- If your name and license plate number is not on file and you do not have your access card/Avi Sticker, you must pull a ticket to enter the garage, and you will have to pay the posted non-refundable daily rate. No refunds will be given. It is the responsibility of the monthly parker to update account information with the Parking Authority.
- Vehicles must park between the lines; vehicles cannot park in driving lanes or no parking areas. Illegally parked vehicles are subject to tow at vehicle owner’s expense. The use of a monthly parking access card/Avi Sticker is restricted to only one car in the garage at any one time. Never let anyone else use your card.
- Snow Removal & Other Restrictions – Parking may be restricted for priority snow removal or other special needs. When these circumstances exist, temporary signs will be posted. Vehicles parked in violation of temporary signage are subject to tow at vehicle owner’s expense. Overnight parking on the roof level of garages is prohibited from December 1st to April 1st.
- No refunds shall be issued for days when space is not available or days when the permit is not used.
- You agree to inform the Parking Authority of any changes to the information provided by you in your application, including address, telephone number, and vehicle information.
- You agree that your monthly parking payment will be processed on the 25th of the prior month via our automatic credit card payment system.
- Your parking agreement may only be terminated upon written notice prior to the automatic payment date. By way of example, you must inform the Parking Authority by July 23rd that you want to terminate the agreement effective August 1st.
- It is important to keep your parking credential safe. If an AVI Tag and/or Proximity Card is lost, stolen or damaged, it must be reported immediately. AVI Tags and/or Proximity Cards can be replaced for a $20.00 non-refundable fee.
- A fee of $20.00 will be charged for any unpaid checks returned from the bank.
- Collection of expenses: you agree to pay all costs, including attorney fees, incurred by the Parking Authority and all entities providing the Parking Authority services to collect any monies due under the terms of this agreement.
- Vehicles must have valid registration, inspection (if applicable), and insurance. Vehicles without are subject to tow at the owner’s expense.
- It is exclusively the responsibility of the vehicle owner to maintain their vehicle to roadworthy condition. Owner’s of vehicles exhibiting, but not limited to, the following conditions; fluid leaks, missing or detached body panels, missing or deflated tires, excessive exhaust smoking, or other conditions deemed to be a safety hazard for Parking Authority customer’s and/or Parking Authority property will be contacted and asked to move their vehicle from the Garage. Failure to comply may result in the vehicle being towed at the owner’s expense.
- Residing or camping of any form is prohibited within or on Parking Authority Property. Parked vehicles that remain occupied for longer than 1 hour may be asked to leave. Failure to comply may result in a revocation of parking privileges.
- Oversized vehicles, including but not limited to, vehicles with trailers, campers/RV’s, vehicles with roof mounted racks or modifications (E.G. “lift-kits”) that otherwise modify the height of the vehicle such that it exceeds the minimum clearance of the facility may be asked to leave. Failure to comply may result in a revocation of parking privileges. Owners are expected to reimburse the Parking Authority for any repairs required because of damage caused by the oversized vehicle.
- Vehicle covers are prohibited and may be removed by the Parking Authority.
- With the exceptions of jump-starting a depleted battery or reinflating a deflated tire, vehicle repairs may not take place in or on Parking Authority property. Failure to comply may result in a revocation of parking privileges.
Disclaimer: remember to turn off your lights, lock your car, and take your keys. Only a license to park is granted and no bailment is created. This license limits the liability of the Parking Authority, which is not responsible for fire, theft, damage to or loss of vehicle or its contents. This license allows the parking of one vehicle in the permit holders designated parking location at the owner’s risk. Rules and rates are subject to change.
By purchasing a Monthly Parking Pass with the Albany Parking Authority, you agree to abide by the above rules & regulations stated above.
