UPDATED: Snow Emergency Issued for March 15, 2017

 Albany, NY - Please be advised that the City of Albany has issued a SNOW EMERGENCY that will begin at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at which time all normal parking rules and regulations are temporarily suspended.

UPDATE 3/15 @ 12:00pm: City of Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan announces vehicles will not be ticketed prior to Snow Emergency
 
ALBANY, NY - Mayor Kathy Sheehan has announced that beginning immediately, vehicles will not be ticketed unless they are blocking traffic, fire hydrants, crosswalks, or handicap spaces.  Also beginning immediately, on-street paid parking spaces may be used free of charge through the conclusion of the impending Snow Emergency.
 
NOTE:  If your vehicle blocks traffic, fire hydrants, crosswalks, or handicap spaces, your car will be ticketed and may be towed.
 
The Snow Emergency will begin at 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at which time all normal parking rules and regulations are temporarily suspended.
 
  • During the first 24 hours of the snow emergency, all vehicles must be parked on the even numbered side of the street.
  • Beginning at 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2017, all vehicles must be parked on the odd numbered side of the street for the next 24-hour period.
